Urbino è una cittadina a pochi passi dal mare, nelle Marche, in Italia. Il Palazzo Ducale è l’unico esempio, forse mondiale, di “palazzo” e non castello, ove il Signore di Urbino risiedeva, all’epoca dell’Italia Rinascimentale. Concepita come una vera e propria “città”, il Palazzo è un mirabile esempio di eleganza e stile, circondato da ridenti colline, offerto al Sole dal sorgere al tramonto, e coronato dai famosi “Torricini”. Presenterò ora tre serie di fotografie, cominciando dalla città di Urbino con i suoi vicoli e palazzi, ripresa di giorno; passerò poi alla presentazione notturna, infine, la visione di Urbino dalle finestre del Palazzo Ducale. Buona visione.
Urbino is a small town just a few steps from the sea, in Marche, Italy. The Palazzo Ducale is the only example, maybe in the world, of “Palazzo”, and not castle, where the Lord of Urbino was residing, at the time of Renaissance. Conceived as a real “city”, the Palace is a wonderful example of elegance and style, surrounded by beautiful hills, offered to the sun from sunrise to sunset, and crowned by the famous “Torricini”. I will now present three sets of photographs, starting from the city of Urbino with its narrow streets and palaces, taken by day; then the night presentation, and finally the vision of Urbino from the windows of the Palazzo Ducale.
